• – We will be using Blackboard for online discussions and the sharing of various course information such as assignment sheets and weekly schedules. Assignments will be graded weekly; it is your responsibility to make sure assignments are submitted and receive a grade. If there is any question or concern regarding an assignment grade, you should email the professor regarding the specific grade reflected in Blackboard. • – Turnitin.com will be used through Blackboard to submit both major essays and smaller homework assignments. Through Turnitin.com, you can view and print my comments and grades on your work. Turnitin.com also monitors submitted assignments for plagiarism.

• –Is a cloud application that allows for creating media rich discussions or presentations which can be shared with an audience or kept private for personal portfolios. VoiceThread also runs through Blackboard; complete instructions are available.

• – It is your responsibility to check your FIU email at least once between every class session. Communication is critical; communication is the foundation of rhetoric.

• – Reviews, team competitions, extra credit, and quizzes will be given using the Kahoot app. This can be downloaded to your smart phone or played on a laptop or tablet in class.

• Technical Difficulties - If you experience any technical difficulties which may result in assignment submission delay, it is always best to email your professor in advance of the deadline.
